Disaster at the finish line

With one week to go until the deadline, tensions were high! All of the information I had available to me was neatly written and published-or so I thought. When I say my heart dropped to my stomach danced a solo ballet and spent the next 10 minutes doing pirouettes, I am aware that it is an exaggeration, yet it most certainly does not feel like one. My laptop wasn’t functioning as intended, and all of my work was erased. After I realised this, I told my father and he got one of his IT friends to come look at it. The laptop was fixed, but Bob’s story, was forever lost to the void. Between revising for exams and extracurricular activities, I have managed to write a few entries and however inadequate they may be, this is what we are left with. Thanks to my team for their understanding and my deepest apologies. Despite the numerous adversities we have faced everyone is still standing strong and I could not be more grateful.

Trials and Resolutions

Bob has been through much, experimented on thoroughly yet still, he prevails. He was working well with Pi2, but alas when the opportunity arose to upgrade to a Pi5, we gladly took it. Regrettably, this does mean that this aspect of him has not been subjected to such rigorous testing, so we are not 100% sure it will work the way we intended- then again a 100% chance of success is not something any of us were expecting at any point.

Pi Wars 2023- First Blog!

This is the first blog of the SGS Pi Wars team 2023. We have all been working hard in the production of our robot and look forward to sharing his progress with you as we advance further into the competition. We have some amazing, creative people on our team, united by a shared enthusiasm for challenges and learning. Our team, christened ‘The Hatters’ in tribute to our hometown of Stockport, have named our robot Bob. (There isn’t really a significant reason for this choice, it just fit.)
